Toy grade and hobby grade models are very different products with the concept of a hobby as a recreational activity carried out regularly showing dedication and a willingness to learn and develop a skill or activity, in this case, remote control cars. These are aimed towards older children and adults ages 14+ and feature a far higher technical specification than a toy grade model. They are not designed for young children.
However, toy grade models are as the name suggests 'toys' and are designed with children in mind. They are easier to use and are missing some performance aspects that can be found in hobby grades.
